Supercritical Transesterfication
MOR Supercritical, in conjunction with Dr. James Hsu and Lehigh University, is developing a next-
generation technology for transesterification – a process that is used worldwide to convert oils into
biodiesel. Supercritical technology has long been known for improving the thermodynamics of chemical
reactions due to its high diffusion rates and other thermodynamic properties in a supercritical
environment. Today’s commercial transesterification processes are slow and expensive, and MOR is
developing technology in the field that has distinct advantages over other proposed next-generation
systems. Contact us today to find out more.
